Filming Services
Nature, wildlife, adventure
From Antarctica’s frozen reaches, Nepal’s high Himalaya or Russia’s volcanically-active Kamchatka Peninsula – or at home in the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains, the Australian Alps or Tasmania’s World Heritage listed South-west wilderness – the chance to work in extreme-climate environments is relished. Just add snow. Stephen specialises in capturing the intimate nature of creatures: from the exquisite, thumbnail-sized Spotted Tree Frog in Australia’s alpine rivers to the mesmerising presence of an inquisitive Humpback whale in polar waters.
Outdoor education/recreation, safety and instruction
Stephen has produced material from student-based outcomes on outdoor programs, to activity instruction such as cross-country skiing and archery, OH&S and risk management for leading outdoor and educational institutions that include YMCA Victoria, NSW TAFE, Victorian Department of Education’s Bogong Outdoor Education Centre and Rubicon Outdoor Centre.
Aerial filming
Eucalypt Productions partners with Bright Helicopters based at Albury, Bright (Porepunkah) and in outback Australia to offer an Australia-wide service for spectacular aerial footage. An array of aerial stock footage is also presently available.
Workshops
Stephen runs a small, intimate workshop that unveils hot tips for filming in remote and wild locations with pre-productions secrets, logistics blended with basic film-making techniques. Available to four students at a time.
Guest Speaking
Stephen is proud to present ‘Tales of self-funded torture’ aka adventure & nature film-making with rich experiences from Antarctica, Russia and his latest project Winter Dreaming: an Australian Alps freeheel film filmed over three consecutive winters. Inspiring, quirky and entertaining.

Testimonials
I would certainly recommend Steve on other shoots. His enthusiasm and hard work will have been clear to everyone he’s worked with since Wild Australasia. He had great personal knowledge of the landscape and how to work in it. He was always ahead of the game when it came to setting up the next shot. He’s extremely conscientious. Stephen, I wanted to let you know how much Dave & I are enjoying your video! You’ve made a wonderful product that will provide the catalyst for so many memories for everyone. We really felt that pictures don’t do the trip justice for anyone not on the trip. Your skills and art allow us to ‘show’ our family and friends ‘what it was like’. Good luck with your future plans. I hope you enjoyed making the video!Judy McIvor and Dave Dearborn, Canada
